We left Jackson Early, as we had a reasonable day of 400km to complete.
After a short great ride through the Teton Pass, We wove our way down through the foot of the mountains and crossed the Snake river a number of times. We saw lots of people fishing, rafting and canoeing.
After we hit Idaho Falls, we turned onto the I15, and got our first taste of an Interstate!
The speed limit was 130, and we took advantage of it to the full.
We finally felt like we could make some headway against the kms for once. Up and till now the speed limit had been 105 maximum and it felt great to wind the bikes out a bit and smash some easy distance.
We had emerged on the Plains of Idaho, and into a massive agricultural belt. Once again irrigators were doing there thing, and farmers were making hay. We saw a Piper Pawnee (turbo prop) spot spraying what looked to be a wheat crop, He dipped below the hills and was flying lower than the power lines. I thought it was awesome until I could smell what he was spraying! Holding my breath, for a km or so, he eventually flew off to spray other fields.
Pretty soon the Hay and wheat turned into what I think was Potatoes, and eventually we came into Twin Falls across the massive Perrine Bridge.
If you've ever see footage of Base Jumpers jumping off a bridge with a river below - odds are it was the Perrine Bridge.
We checked into our hotel, had some lunch, and I went to check out the local Sportman's Warehouse for goodies. Seriously - I could spend $10,000 in there without breaking a sweat. I have a list of things I will buy before we leave, it's just the fact that I have to carry them across the rest of the US stopping me!
